what we do
We live in Nairobi, KE and seek to support the work of the Christian church through aviation and medicine.
We serve with SIM, a non-denominational organization based in Charlotte, NC. They send people all over the world to do all sorts of things to advance the Kingdom of God. Nate is on loan to AIMAIR, a non-denominational mission aviation organization that assists any Christian organization working in East Africa.

“I grew up in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. I knew by the age of five that God was calling me to be a missionary doctor – even though I didn’t know exactly what that entailed. This call, however, sustained me as I went through the long process to become a physician. Today, I am a board-certified as a Family Practice and Sports Medicine physician. During my medical training, I had the opportunity to work with refugees in my international health clinic. This exposure, along with my training in residency, has helped prepare me for some of the different health issues I now deal with in Africa.
I have the privilege of helping to meet some of the incredible health care needs that are present in East Africa. Along with practicing medicine in several venues, I am an on-call physician for our teammates and also take calls from people with other organizations.
Spending time teaching and enjoying Liam and Quinn is also a major part of what I am blessed to be able to do. In all I do, I try to use my gifts to represent the physical touch of Jesus in these areas of tremendous need.”

“I was born and raised in Appleton, WI and wanted to fly for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I wanted to join the Air Force. However, during high school, I realized that I was making all of my own plans and had never considered if God has something specific in mind for me. The process that began at that point ended up with me enrolling to train in Moody Bible Institute’s mission aviation program. While at Moody, in East Tennessee, I met Ginna. In the time we spent together, I found that she has a deep devotion to the Lord, a passion for cross-cultural work and (to my surprise) an interest in me. We began dating & married after her first year of residency.
Currently, I am on loan from SIM to AIMAir, where I serve as a pilot based out of Nairobi, KE. It is a blessing to be able to make the flights I get to make, both because of what I see and what I get to be a part of. I love to fly. However, I am most fulfilled by the role God is allowing me to play in areas of physical and spiritual need.”
