john piper for kids

By nate  //  life, theology  //  Comments Off

John Piper has greatly influenced how I understand God’s plan for my life. But, his books and sermons are quite weighty. I recently found a sermon Piper addresses to kids on what a “holy ambition” is (below). Its a good way to wade in Piper’s message without sinking. If you want the ‘double barreled’ message watch his “Don’t waste your life” conference.

I also dug up some songs from ‘The Well Band’ (which I played keys in for a few years). Here’s a few of us in the good ‘ole days. (Miss ya bears!)

Football update

By nate  //  africa, politics  //  Comments Off

In a recent post, I hailed the power football has to overcome political boundaries. Well, for whatever reason, FIFA has canceled the upcoming match between Chad and Sudan. So much for that idea.
