off to the hospital!
Here we go!
As of about noon today, Gin has been having consistent, increasingly intense contractions… this picture was taken during one of the calms between the storms that come every 4 minutes. This means we are on our way to the hospital.
More as we know it!

any day now
Man, are we excited! I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to meeting this little guy. We are hoping he shows up tonight or this weekend…Labor Day would be ironic! Ginna’s been having quite a few contractions for the past few days, so hopefully he’s on his way.
The other day, Ginna brought up the idea of “birth pains” that Christ said will serve as the sign of the His return to earth (c.f. Matt. 24:4-8). Some have said that the return of Christ would not really be imminent (as the “thief in the night” analogy would suggest) if there are these specific things leading up to it. However, for several days now, we have been experiencing literal “birth pains”, and we have no idea when this guy is going to come. It could be right now or a week from now. The Bible makes more and more sense every day.

campaign ‘reform’?
I am not quite sure how this is okay or if this is the fruit of the so-called campaign finance reform bill that was passed? But, for those nosy enough (yes, I used it a bit), you can actually find out exactly how much anyone gives to a political candidate. Fundrace 2008, a ’service’ of the Huffington Post (hee hee), lets you search by name or address to see what your friends and enemies are giving and to which candidate.
Now, tell me why it is just fine to know what anyone gives, but not okay to wiretap terrorists? How about a consistent standard for privacy rights!
