fiction family= a good
Just in case you didn’t know, the band Fiction Family is a good. The folky outlet of music man Jon Foreman (also switchfoot’s frontman…Come on! some guys get all the talent!), Fiction Family is a unique, but worthwhile listen.

‘now is the time’ LIVE
Delirious is going to hang it up next month after a great career that helped redefine Christian music and ‘church music’. They are about to release a best-of album, called Historymakers and are currently on a farewell tour.
“Now is the time” is an older one (2006), but I just got it and really enjoy it. Delirious did not try to reinvent themselves each album (with the exception of “Audio Lessonover”). Instead they rely on the basics: straight forward drums and bass, huge guitars, anthemic melodies all covered in huge pads and piano. Why try and change? read more

‘church music’
I have had ‘Church Music’ for a week now, the newest offering from the David Crowder Band. It is another great, unique album. I am not sure yet if it surpasses ‘Remedy’ or ‘Collision’, my favorite DCB albums to date. However, it is worth the listen. read more

stockholm syndrome [initial]

Just bought Derek Webb’s new album, Stockholm Syndrome and have just listened to it once through. It blew me away! Musically, it awesome! Extremely inventive and rich! Funky, mellow, electronica, pseudo-oldies and more all packed into this gem. I’m still figuring out and evaluating the lyrics, but at first listen (and after all, its music!) it is definitately worth the 8 bucks. Oh and by the way, yep, he does use language a bit more ‘colorful’ than the average Christian musician.
